Ion Bank Foundation Awards $10,000 Grant to StayWell
The Ion Bank Foundation has awarded a $10,000 grant to the Naugatuck StayWell Health Center to help fund their new x-ray scanner which is used to diagnose the existence of tooth decay and other problems that cannot be seen during an exam. The scanner not only is the most efficient form of diagnosis, but also exposes the patient to less radiation than using other methods. The scanner is linked to StayWell’s Electronic Dental Record System. The equipment is movable in the event of future location change, and has a lifespan of 20-30 years.
Charles J. Boulier III, President & CEO of Ion Bank and Ion Bank Foundation said “it gives us great pleasure to assist StayWell in their efforts to provide community health and social services to the citizens of our communities.”
