Tuition Assistance
All full-time and part-time employees are eligible to receive tuition assistance after they have completed a minimum of one year of service at the Company. In addition, factors that will be considered in determining whether to approve such requests include the length of employment and performance level of the requesting employee, as well as budgetary considerations.

In-House Training Programs
Learning sessions and webinars are offered throughout the year to all Ion employees who are interested. Examples of recent sessions include Basic Excel, Bank Financial Statements, Service to Sales Workshops and a Leadership Series.
Connecticut School of Finance and Management
A two year program that assists participants in obtaining a more comprehensive knowledge and awareness of banking theory, practices and procedures, capital markets and management functions.
Center for Financial Training
Provides continuing education for bank professionals via webinars, online courses, seminars and specialty schools.
Leadership Greater Waterbury
A personal and career development program that provides a creative and interactive environment for participants to meet with regional leaders and discuss the challenges that affect the Greater Waterbury area. Participants work on leadership skills including recruiting, leading and managing teams, innovation and change management, communication and time management strategies, project management, government relations and civic engagement, media and public relations, and presentation skills.
