There have been recent reports of increased debit card fraud at retail locations throughout the country. In efforts to try to combat the fraud, financial institutions may be placing tighter restrictions on debit card transactions. If you select “credit” as payment and your transaction is denied, we suggest you retry the purchase and select “debit” and use your PIN.

Keep your card deactivated and then activate it when you need to use it. You can find the Deactivate/Reactivate My Card tab under Electronic Services in the Service Center in iBanking.
