1. What is our routing number?

2. What hours is my branch open?

3. How do I open a bank account with Ion?

We have two options for opening accounts: Online at IonBank.com or through a branch location.


4. What should I do with the check after I’ve completed my mobile deposit?

We recommend that you write “Deposited” and the date on the front of the check. You should destroy the check after 14 days.


5. Where do I view my eStatements?

When you’re logged into Online Banking, select eStatements under View eDocuments, next to the account you would like to see. When you are logged into the mobile app select menu slide out, eStatements.


6. How do I order checks?

Checks can be reordered by Online through Order My Checks, Bank-by-Phone, calling the Contact Center at 203.729.4442 or through an in branch location.


7. What information do I need to receive a wire transfer to an Ion account?

To receive an International U.S. Dollar wire and/or a domestic wire transfer, you will need the following information:

  • Our Routing number: 211174178
  • Our mailing address: Ion Bank, 251 Church ST, Naugatuck, CT 06770
  • Our phone number: 203.729.4442

An incoming wire fee will be assessed to the person receiving the wire.


8. How do I enroll in personal online banking?

To apply on our website, click “Log In” in the top right corner. Click the link “Enroll – Consumer.” The next page will be the disclosure you need to read and accept.

You will then be brought to the application page to enter your account and personal information. Once that is submitted, you will be able to choose your User ID and set up your security profile. After your setup is complete, you will be able to log into your Online Banking.


9. How do I sign up for Bill Pay?

Customers can sign up for Bill Pay in the Ion Bank app or Online Banking portal. To enroll, select “Pay My Bills”. Be sure to select a default account for Bill Pay or it will choose the first account in the dropdown list.


10. How do I sign up for Mobile Banking?

Customers can download the Ion Bank app from the Apple Store or Google Play, depending on your mobile device. To access Mobile Banking, you will log in with your Online Banking User ID and Password.
