Debit Card Fraud Alert
There have been recent reports of increased debit card fraud at retail locations throughout the country. In efforts to try to combat the fraud, financial institutions may be placing tighter restrictions on debit card transactions. If you select “credit” as payment and your transaction is denied, we suggest you retry the purchase and select “debit” and use your PIN.
Two Ways to Safeguard Your Debit MasterCard®
You can protect yourself from debit or ATM card fraud by turning your card off and on instantly with a click right from your smartphone or PC. Keep your card deactivated and then activate it when you need to use it. You can find the Deactivate/Reactivate My Card tab under Electronic Services in the Service Center in iBanking. On our Mobile app, you can find it under Mobile Services.
