Ion Bank is pleased to announce the hiring of Ted Balagtas as Senior Vice President, Chief Information Officer. In this key leadership role, Ted will oversee the bank’s technology strategy and infrastructure, with a focus on delivering seamless, secure, and personalized experiences for Ion Bank customers.

Ted brings over eight years of leadership in financial services technology, with a proven track record of aligning IT strategy with business goals to enhance customer engagement and operational efficiency. As CIO, he will be responsible for all systems, technology and people delivering the IT and core banking infrastructure and promoting innovation across all channels.

A native of Monroe and currently residing in Westport, Balagtas holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut. He is a member of the Fairfield/Westchester Chapter of Society for Information Management (SIM) and Hedge Fund Tech Connect (HFTC), demonstrating a strong commitment to ongoing industry collaboration and innovation.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Ted has served as an assistant coach for Westport Little League since 2023 and was formerly a board member for the Children’s Community Development Center in Westport, reflecting his passion for youth development and local engagement.
